My lashes and brows are freshly tinted. How long should I wait before using the Care Balm?
The Care Balm is the ideal night care after tinting but you should wait 24h hours before using it because within this time frame the Care Balm’s high fat content can affect the tinting result.

Yes, RefectoCil tint can be used while breastfeeding. The product is applied topically and is not known to be absorbed in a manner that would affect breast milk or the breastfeeding process. However, as with any cosmetic product, it's important to consider individual sensitivities and health conditions. If you have any concerns about using RefectoCil or any other products during breastfeeding, it is always a good idea to consult with your healthcare professional. They can provide personalised advice based on your specific health circumstances and ensure the safety of both you and your baby.
How long does a RefectoCil Eyelash and Eyebrow Tint last?
RefectoCil Tint is designed to provide long-lasting results, typically enduring between 4 to 6 weeks. The longevity of the tint depends on several factors, including the natural growth cycle of your hair, your skincare routine, and how frequently the tinted area is exposed to cleansing products or sunlight. Regular face washing and the use of oil-based skincare products can lead to the tint fading more quickly. To maximise the duration of the tint, it is advisable to follow a gentle cleansing routine and avoid excessive rubbing or use of harsh products around the tinted areas.
What is the best shade for me?
It is always a good idea to have a brow tint colour consultation with your brow artist before having a treatment done. We recommend brow tints to be 1-2 shades darker than your hair colour and compliment your skin tone- this could be warm or cool. However, there are no rules when it comes to how creative you would like to go with your brows. RefectoCil has a wide range of shades that can be colour blended to achieve bold, intense brows to soft, complimentary shades, a contrast look or a creative style to suit your personality.
What is the best product to use after your eye lash and eye brow tint for longevity?
The RefectoCil Styling Gel is highly recommended as the best product to use after tinting your brows or lashes to maximize the longevity of the tint. This gel is specifically formulated to enhance and maintain the vibrancy of your tinted hairs. It contains D-Panthenol, an ingredient renowned for its protective properties, which helps seal the color and prevents it from fading quickly. D-Panthenol also nourishes the hair, adding hydration and elasticity, which contributes to overall healthier-looking brows and lashes. By using the RefectoCil Styling Gel routinely after tinting, you can enjoy a more enduring color, ensuring your brows and lashes look freshly tinted for longer.
Blonde Brow FAQS
Why should I lighten up brows?
Blonde Brow allows you to achieve naturally blonde brows but it also enables tinting dark brows in light hues or in a creative colour.
Is it possible to bleach tinted hair?
Only untreated hair should be bleached. Bleaching after tinting can cause unwanted colour results.
What is the application time for Blonde Brow?
5-20 minutes, depending on the desired lightning effect.
5 minutes: to go one shade lighter
12 minutes: to go two shades lighter
20 minutes: to go three shades lighter
If you are feeling insecure, occasionally remove some of the paste from the end of the brow to check the lightning effect. Always take your professional knowledge into account.
How can I achieve evenly bleached brows?
To achieve an even result, the brows have to be completely covered with the paste from root to tip. There shouldn’t be any hair left visible. Tip: Apply Blonde Brow also against the direction of hair growth to make sure each hair is covered.
Why should I use Blonde Brow and not conventional bleaching products for the brows?
Blonde Brow has been designed especially for eyebrows and can therefore be used without concern on the brows. It causes less reddishness than conventional bleaching products and provides natural results.
What is the consistency for blond brow/bleaching paste? Why is my consistency like thick dry fluffy? Why does it look different to tint? Is blonde brow a tint? Why do my brows go orange/can I process again?
Blonde brow is a bleaching paste for the eyebrows ONLY! The consistency of Blonde Brow should be a creamy/fluffy consistency when mixed with equal parts Cream Oxidant. If you find the consistency is dry or the product is separating try adding some more Cream Oxidant to the mixture.
Whilst tints darken the brows and lashes, Blonde Brow can be used to lighten the brows by upto 3 shades. It is important to take into consideration the clients natural brow colour to determine whether or not a realistic lighten result can be achieved.
Blonde brow is often used to lighten dark brows if a client has gone for a lighter hair colour and would like his/her brows to be softened to compliment this shade or to lighten brows to then go in with a lighter brow tint. It is important to remember that often once darker brows are bleached a warm tone can appear, however this can easily be corrected using a small amount of graphite mixed with your chosen RefectoCil tint to counteract the warmth.
Blonde brow can not be used over already tinted brows- this will cause an unwanted colour tone.

Intense Browns FAQS
What’s the difference between RefectoCil oxidative tint and Intense Browns?
Oxidative tint:
-Tint and Oxidant is mixed together in equal parts. Tint colour pigment enters
the hair shaft and results last for approximately 6 weeks,
Intense Browns:
-2 step system, no mixing of the colour gel and activator gel.
Colour pigments wrap themselves around the hair. Ingredients are plant and
herbal based.Intense Browns has the added benefits of a skin stain which
lasts 5-8 days on the skin, whilst tint lasts approximately 4-6 weeks on the
hair.
How does the chemical process of oxidative tint differ from Intense Brow[n]s?
Intense Brow[n]s™ is based on silver nitrate*. The gels are not mixed. The
gels are applied sequentially. In between, the hair/skin is dried and then the
next gel is applied. Silver nitrate opens hair structure slightly, the pigments are
not stored in the hair, but adhere all around the hair shaft. Oxidative tints are
mixed with hydrogen peroxide. The colour paste is mixed with RefectoCil
Oxidant 3% in a certain ratio (1:1). The hydrogen peroxide opens the hair
structure, and the colour pigments are stored in the hair. The tint of the hair
lasts between 4- 6 weeks. This also depends on how aftercare is maintained
at home.
Is Intense Brow[n]s suitable for every customer?
Not every customer. We now have 2 different tinting systems available. With
the right consultation the brow artists can choose what is most suitable for
his/her client.
Is it possible to laminate the eyebrows before tinting with Intense Brow[n]s?
Yes, it is. Ensure the brows are cleansed thoroughly, there must be no
residues of Perm/Neutralizer on the hair or skin.
Can you bleach first with Blonde Brow and then dye with Intense Brow[n]s?
No, this is not recommended as results will not be effective.
Can the Intense Brow[n]s Gels be mixed?
Only the Colour Gels (step 1) can be mixed together to create even more
shades. Please note: The Activator Gel is still only applied in the 2nd step and
is not mixed with the Colour Gels.
Can I use Intense Brow[n]s if the client has had an allergic reaction to oxidative tints?
Yes, Intense Brow[n]s consists of different ingredients compared to our
oxidative tints. Nevertheless, we still recommend an allergy patch test 24hrs
prior to the service application.
What aftercare advice should we tell our clients to follow?
For the first 24 hours after the treatment advise your client to avoid water on
the brows, no brow makeup, no oils, no saunas, no hot tubs and avoid
exfoliating the brow area.
Do the brows & lashes need care after the treatment?
After the treatment, the RefectoCil Styling Gel provides the perfect care and
nourishes the hair. Styling Gel also contains D-panthenol which is a colour
lock ingredient for longevity on the hairs. It is recommended to use 24 hours
after having the treatment done.
Why should the eyebrows not be tinted after using self-tan or fake tan?
We do not recommend this, as a yellowish/orange or even green discoloration
of the skin may result.
Can Refectocil Intense Brow[n]s Brow Tint be used on pregnant women?
Generally, we do not see any problems using tints while being pregnant. But
please note that we did not conduct any special studies with pregnant women,
